I am currently Chief Officer for Innovation & Engagement and a Professor at the University of Warwick Medical School, and my previous roles include Chief Officer for an NHS Clinical Commission Group, Director of Primary Care for a local CCG & Chief Executive of the GP Federation, as well as an 8-year period as a Chief Officer for Coventry City Council. I regularly lead & chair NHS service reconfiguration reviews, and participate in national policy working groups and workshops. I hold Professorships at the University of Warwick Medical School & Warwick Manufacturing Group’s institute for Digital Healthcare, as well as a visiting Professorship at Coventry University’s School of Health & Life Sciences, sit as a member of the West Midlands Fire Authority, and am on the National Executive of the FDA, the union for senior civil servants.
I am now Vice Chair after serving as the Chair for Coventry Citizens Advice for 11 years.
Outside of work, I enjoy singing in choirs, serving as a local churchwarden, skiing, spending time with my wife & daughter, as well as watching as many movies as I can.
