The breakdown of any relationship is often a challenging and uncertain time with many issues to be resolved; having the right information helps you to make the best decision for you.
If you are divorcing a marriage or ending a civil partnership you will have to be married for at least a year before you can do so.
There are various factors you will need to consider:
- Where each partner and children will live
- Children access arrangements
- Dividing finances and possessions
- Possible implications on immigration and visa status.
